Happy Cyber Monday!

Well it wasn't enough that I went shopping on Black Friday....but now comes Cyber Monday!  YAY!!!!    I had an absolute blast on Friday.  My day started at 3am with great anticipation of the first store to open.  I found deals of the Century ,,,,including jewelry, coats,  and wii games.  Here are a few pictures of the Christmas presents that my family bought for me.....ok,,,so I bought them so they can give them to me.  Since I picked out my wonderful presents I can't wait to wear/play with them.   I did eventually stop shopping around 3 pm...just 12 hours...that was pretty good.

Now.....what to shop for today.  There has to be someone that I missed.  Shop, Shop, Shop.  Have fun everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope that everyone is having a wonderful day.  Although I had to work today, my day has been great.  All my patients seem to be in a good mood.  At least the Hospital cooked a Turkey dinner for everyone.  One of my favorite songs during the "Thanksgiving Holiday".   I hope and pray that everyone will have a safe and blessed holiday.

Tune of The More We Get Together the Happier We'll Be

Gobble, gobble, gobble, fat turkey, fat turkey!

Gobble, gobble, gobble, fat turkeys are we.

We're not here for living,

We're here for thanksgiving!

Gobble, gobble, gobble, fat turkeys are we.

Operation Christmas!

Its during this time of year that I try to take a step back; re-evauate my blessed life and remember how important it is to share love and a smile with all of mankind.  I have a great passion and love for Samaritan's Purse and all of the people that volunteer their time and donate money to such a great cause.  Samaritan's Purse is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to hurting people around the world.  Around this time of the year, Samaritan's Purse organizes Operation Christmas.  My family looks forward to this every year.   We collect all types of items throughout the year like small  toys/gifts/school supplies..ect. and place items into a shoe box  for children to enjoy all over the world.  Please visit the site to get more ideas and to see how you can help other people all over the world with such little time, effort and money.  Many churches and other club organizations make this their holiday project.  My church usually has a goal of 250 shoe boxes. Make this your  personal holiday project and make the difference for a child this Christmas.  The web site can also give you the drop off locations.  Be quick though, time is very limited, since collection deadlines are November 16-23rd.

HIP HIP HOORAY!

Well I almost, completely, irreversibly messed up this past weekend.  I was speaking with  my dearest friend Anne from ( Fiona and Twig   By the way, everyone should check out her blog.  She has the most awesome blog ever) on Friday about my September apron submissions to Apron*ology magazine.  We were both wondering when I would be notified with a "yes" or "no".  Well, that is when I got to thinking.......have I checked my email lateley?  So I immediately checked my email and found out that Apron*ology magazine had notified me back on October 5th that they wanted to FEATURE TWO of the three aprons  that were submitted.  They picked the Western and Satin half apron.  Yay!  HIP, HIP, HOORAY!  But there was a catch.  I only had until Novemeber 2nd to get forms filled out and the date was now OCTOBER 31st.  So....I spend Sunday making sure that my t's were crossed and my i's dotted and completed the required paperwork.  I would have just cried my heart out if I would have missed my chance to participate in Apron*ology Magazine.  Now, I can't wait til February 2010 when the magazine comes out.
